Collapsing Monument is a performance, manifested in sound, which reflects ongoing conversations between artist, Ivanco Talevski, and musician, Vasko Dukovski. The visual works in Proposals for Monuments act as a score for Dukovski’s search for, and development of, new sounds. The performance is driven by a sense of urgency to articulate form, in a continuous state of collapse and endless revision that emphasizes the difference between prescribed and actual freedom.
The performance by Vasko Dukovski took place at 9pm on April 1st, 2016 at the opening of Ivanco Talevski’s Proposals for Monuments exhibition at Napoleon project space.
